What to Expect

The Biomedical and Environmental Hands-On Laboratory courses will be held at the MBL (Marine Biological Laboratory) in Woods Hole, Massachusetts. Woods Hole is located on the southwestern corner of Cape Cod and is a world center for marine, biomedical, and environmental science. In addition to the MBL, Woods Hole is home to the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, two federal government facilities (the National Marine Fisheries Service and the U.S. Geological Survey), and several smaller enterprises and labs.

Biomedical and Environmental fellows will be provided with MBL dormitory-style housing during their stay in Woods Hole. Meals are also provided and are served in the MBL’s Swope Dining Room, Monday through Saturday.
