Outright
Gifts
An outright gift is just what the name implies; a gift transferred
immediately from a donor to the MBL. These gifts are the most
helpful
to the MBL because they can be put to work immediately. They may
include cash, securities, real estate, or other assets.
Deferred (Planned) Gifts
To encourage gifts to non-profit institutions, the federal government
allows certain tax benefits to those who transfer assets in exchange
for income paid to the donor (and/or another beneficiary), with the
principal remaining with the institution.
Give on-line
Gifts
to
the Annual Fund and Alumni Fund can be made on-line using your
Discover, Visa, or MasterCard.
